It’s been about 9 months since I have actively seen patients, and I can’t wait until we can open the doors of Hear In Texas.
People will get honest answers to their questions about ears and hearing, as well as ongoing support and excellent patient care.
Truly, the world we live in changes so fast.
In these few months, the technology for hearing has changed and evolved. It is fascinating to me how much things have changed since I began practicing audiology 28 years ago, and now, the changes just keep happening faster and faster.
I constantly attend webinars and trainings so that I can provide my patients with the latest and greatest options.
When it comes to hearing technology, there is not a one size fits all solution for hearing. We do a comprehensive hearing exam with our state-of-the-art equipment that assesses the outer, middle, and inner ear. Then, we take it a step further to evaluate how the brain processes what it hears.
Insofar, we take the time to get to know our patients and learn about them so we can make sure they are getting exactly what they need.
The Rise Of Hearing Amplification Alternatives
Recently, over-the-counter hearing aid options have been made available. I’m hopeful that people will start seeking help much sooner than the 7-year average wait time.
We will also be carrying the Jabra Enhance Plus at our office. This is a self-fit hearing device that looks like a Bluetooth earpiece and helps those who only struggle to hear in certain situations.
I consider it a bridge between an amplifier-type device and a true hearing aid.
Did I mention options?
These are exciting times, and I hope that you can spread the word about Hear in Texas and the positive impact we are going to have on New Braunfels.
